The project also included the installation of four 22kW AC EV chargers to support the increasing electrification of Hannon Transport’s fleet. The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 20% of the electricity consumed at the facility, helping reduce the amount of electricity Hannon Transport needs to purchase from the grid. The project has a projected payback period of 4–5 years and was partly funded through the SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant, with ENCOM supporting Hannon Transport through the grant process. The installation represents the third solar project ENCOM has delivered for the Hannon Group.
